Week Meadow is a bed and breakfast and self-catering apartment in Dartington just outside Totnes. We chose our house for it’s fantastic location. It’s the last house in the village with only fields beyond it and can be eerily quiet. Although if you’re outside you’ll sometimes hear the sound of the whistle from the local steam railway. However we are also close to Schumacher College, Dartington Hall and just a mile and a half from Totnes.
Our Totnes Bed & Breakfast and self-catering apartment is in the hamlet of Higher Week, part of the village of Dartington just outside Totnes. It has a separate entrance (so you can come and go as you please), a large bright bedroom/studio with a table and chairs (where breakfast is served), a small kitchen area (with fridge, kettle, toaster and tea and coffee making facilities), a bathroom (with bath and thermostatically controlled shower) and a entrance hall area with space to hang coats. The room is tastefully furnished with a stone Minster working fireplace, an Art deco desk, Ercol quaker chairs and original oil paintings and etchings. The bed pictured has now been replaced with a ziplink bed which means we can arrange the room as a twin on request.
Bed and Breakfast
If you opt for our Totnes Bed and Breakfast we serve breakfast in the apartment. We are also happy to welcome well-behaved dogs for a small additional charge. And we can accommodate one child of up to 16 (on a campbed in the main room) for a small additional charge.
The small kitchenette means most people choose to self-cater. There are plenty of options for eating out nearby. For other self-catering cottages and apartments see my holiday cottage agency www.westcountrylets.co.uk
There is also a sunny outside area with a table and chairs. During the period May to September you also have free access to our outdoor swimming pool
